Another ‘David Bowie Is’ install, another city. This time was Tokyo, at the Terrada warehouse and it was bloody fantastic.
If you don’t mind an uncharacteristic lapse in quality (the video was filmed on a smartphone), then you can check out my ‘Jean Genie’ video/lighting as it appears in the space:

The world touring ‘David Bowie Is’ exhibition has opened at the MAMBo in Bologna. A happy week was spent there stuffing my face with pasta and working on adapting my original content to the new space.
The exhibition is open until the 14th November. Tickets and info can be found at www.davidbowieis.it/en/

At 59 Production’s behest, I created some of the audiovisual content for the original exhibition back in 2012, notably the three videos in the exhibition’s final room, for ‘Jean Genie’, ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide’ and ‘Sweet Thing’. The exhibition has since toured to the AGO in Toronto, MIS in Sao Paolo, the Martin Gropius Bau Berlin, the MCA Chicago, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the ACMI Melbourne. The exhibition in Groningen runs through the April 2016.
At each venue, the final room is redesigned, as are the videos. The video above is a mock-up of the four giant screens in the space, to give a sense of the immersive nature of the experience.
